Spaghetti Bolognese for Bachelors

Classic spaghetti Bolognese recipe, adapted for quick and easy preparation.

Spaghetti Bolognese for Bachelors

Ingredients

1 spaghetti
1 rusensko vareno
1 tomato puree
oil
black pepper
salt
cheese

Method

  1. Take a pot with a capacity of at least 3 liters and fill it with 1.5-2 liters of water. Place the pot on the stove on high heat and wait for the water to boil.
  2. When the water boils, add 1/3 of the package of spaghetti. Stir them lightly to prevent them from sticking together. Add 1 tablespoon of oil to the water to prevent them from sticking.
  3. Cook the spaghetti according to the instructions on the package, but keep in mind that it may take a little longer – about 14-15 minutes. Check their readiness by tasting one spaghetti – it should be cooked but still slightly firm in the middle (al dente).
  4. While the spaghetti is cooking, take a frying pan and place it on the stove on medium heat. Add 1-2 tablespoons of oil and wait for it to heat up.
  5. Pour the contents of the "rusensko vareno" can into the hot frying pan. With the help of a wooden or metal spoon, break up the meat into smaller pieces.
  6. Let the meat fry for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it turns golden. Be careful not to burn it.
  7. Add a pinch of black pepper and stir. You can also add a little salt if you wish.
  8. Pour the contents of the tomato paste can into the frying pan with the meat. Stir well to combine the ingredients.
  9. Reduce the heat to low and let the sauce simmer for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally. Be careful because the sauce may splatter – that's why it's good to use a lid or stand to the side.
  10. Once the spaghetti is ready, drain the water from them, being careful not to pour out the spaghetti themselves. You can leave a little water in the pot to prevent them from sticking.
  11. Pour the sauce from the frying pan over the drained spaghetti and stir well to coat them evenly.
  12. Serve the spaghetti bolognese immediately, sprinkling with grated cheese to taste.
